Phoenixville Area High SchoolHome of the Phoenix Phantoms!Class of 1969 |
It is our pleasure to announce this exciting news. In the Spring of 2019, our class created a scholarship to reward one special student that has shown outstanding service to our community. An example, from our class, who has dedicated a lifetime to community service is Tom Mitchell. Sadly, Tom passed away in 2018, but he will always be remembered as a servant of Phoenixville. Some of his causes were: Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, Phoenixville Youth Wrestling League, St. Mary's Shelter, Costumes for a Cause (Tom's own non-profit), Diversity in Action, and he played Santa Claus in downtown Phoenixville for 41 years. He believed that serving others was his work. He would be honored to know that his mission will be lived through another Phoenixville High School graduate. Together we are establishing something that we can be proud to share with the next generation. We will give to the ones who are givers, and show them that their service is not overlooked. Please thoughtfully consider a gift of $100, $50, $25… or whatever you can afford would be greatly appreciated. If you can give more, that would be awesome! P.O. Box 348 Phoenixville, PA 19460.
