The Phoenixville Area High School, class of 1969 celebrated its 40th class reunion on November 27th and 28th.
The two day event started on Friday, November 27 with a tour of historic downtown Phoenixville, followed by a gathering at the Iron Company Foundry. The program included viewing the tourist center and the historic museum. A special added feature was an Art Gallery exhibit by classmate Chuck Hirsh. The finale of the evening was held at the Pickering Creek Inn for socializing and refreshments. Saturday's Gala Event was held at the Spring Hollow Golf Club, Spring City, with cocktails, dinner and dancing to "The Left Edge" band. Nancy (Beluch) King offer the invocation. Cahirwoman, Bonnie McDaniel, served as master of ceremonies. A special memorial ceremony with the releasing of inscribed balloons was dedicated to each departed classmate. The reunion closed with videos and memories of the past and the present day progress of the alumni's hometown. |
